Living Joyfully

Living Joyfully!

This motto means a lot to me. With Voiceovers, I find I can express who I am- joyfully. They allow me to be creative and light- hearted or serious and dramatic! I look forward to creating and recording them because they allow me to feel free- yes they definitely give me a feeling of delight and freedom!

But don’t get me wrong- they require a certain amount of discipline, dedication, focus and yes, lots of skill! There is much to learn to modulate the voice to express what I want to say. It’s about using my Voice in ways that express the deeper parts of me but at the same time, staying true to the script. And it’s also about sharing that with others. Because somehow joy multiplies when we share it with others. It can be nerve-wracking because we put ourselves on the line- we dare to be vulnerable. That’s part of the journey- but then the rest is about being right in the moment. To enJOY every minute- it’s a choice. For me, it’s about being fully alive and I relish that.

Voiceovers

I have always loved reading stories or narrations out loud. It seems to come naturally. Lots of sounds and changes in tone because it’s like painting a picture for whoever is listening. It seems to make it more real. And there’s a certain freedom in stepping outside of yourself and describing something or becoming someone else and then sounding like them. Stepping into their shoes and feeling what they feel. Whatever the need of the script entails, it’s about creating an ambiance involving tone, pitch, speed with clarity and energy. You lose yourself in the moment. And yet you have to stay focussed-to not become self conscious yet stay professional! It works better if you can let go of inhibitions that can get in the way. That’s when the joy comes in!

So with Voiceover it feels more easeful with joy-living joyfully is huge fun and life sparkles!
